Jesse Side BagsThe manufactory is Jesse Luggage's The cost for both bags was $940 at my door. Took me about 5 hours in two days to install it, most because I didn't understood how the turn lights are fixed. Once I got that information, the installation went really smooth.
The package was very well done. Good first impression. I disassembled the BMW original mounts. There are 3 screws: two in the rear, one in the front. This is the original position of the canister. It need to be moved a little. Removing the BMW rear plate. The new Jesse passenger pegs installed.
The left main frame installed. I should had disassembled the turn lights, instead of just pop then off. The BMW light support you will not use (on the right) There is no weather protection additional on it. There is about 1 1/2" of extra wire there that you will need. It could be either under the tools box, or zip tie back there. You need to get that extra wire or it will not fit. My extra wires were zip with those 2 black zip tie you can see under the licence plate/rear light. You don't' have to remove the whole license plate support. I did because I'm not good on it... :( This is just to show that the passenger pegs will be moved a little to front and down with Jesse new support. That is the fit from the pegs support+main support. The rear attachment. Left over parts... what is that???????? The final assembly. Detail on the turn light.
Detail on the canister new assembly. I had to use a longer screw. the BMW original one is too short when you invert the position. The box was easy. Just make sure that you have the 2 flat bars to support the compartment. This was my idea: can you see a shine screw, between the yellow plastic, turn light, red light and beg? I just secure the plastic on the metal frame. Before the turn light neck was doing it, and now it's not. Then I drill a small hole on the plastic to pass the wire. This is a view from inside. The small hole I drill is below, almost out of focus, not the one next to the screw. Final assembly, with my screws holding the plastic to the metal frame. (can you see my eye!!!! |
