Trip Report

The BMW K1200LT average 48mph
Maximum speed was 94mph
Average was 48mpg and the best was 57mpg and the worst was 37mpg.
and we rode 850 miles in 3 days.

I was trying the new ZTechnik VStream windshield and the result is that it's a good windshiel, but my previus Cee Bailey was good as well.
The noise level on this windshiel looks like is greater then the Cee Bailey, but the wind buffeting looks like is less.
I try many positions and the best one is with the windshield right below my eyes. It's has a very clear and distorion free view, so I can look over and thru the windshield very safe and easy.

The Dice+iPod was a pain. It was crasing all the time until it dies completely.
I'm not sure if the problem is my iPod overheating or the dice... bummer.

The sixsixone cool vest that we used for the first time on this trip still on the jury. Seams like it works, but not as well as a full vest (it goes only on your shoulders) and the quality control on this new product seams to be a littel low. I called the company and they will replace the vest but still I'm not sure if the quality control is really good on this one. Let me use it few more times.

Besides being really dirty from the dirt roads, the K12 was flawless.

Our group had 2 Honda Valkerie, 1 Honda Shadow and my LT and all bikes did the trip pretty good.

Who is Elton

I was born in Brazil and my wife and I moved to USA, California in 1996, for a change in our lives. Took us some time to learn the language and get into this country, but I think we are doing very well expect the learning a new language after 35 is not easy. We became citizens in 2007.
My wife and I we love to travel and by the time I was writing this page, we have logged more them 100.000 miles on our BMW K1200LT Motorcycle, many more on our car and much more on the airplane.
Winter we do Snowmobile, Summer we go to the lakes for water sports (PWC) and we motorcycle year around (one of the goods of living in sunny California).

Few months ago we start learning about hiking and looks like the bug got us. We are now doing some hiking trips too.
