Day 01 - Day 02 - Day 03 - Day 04 - Day 05

Sunday
Today we had late breakfast in Moab, at Denis, and went to Arches National Park. Was a slow day today, with wind blowing (25mph) most of the day.

At dinner we had barbecue with all our group (8 people) at our campsite and around 5:00PM we were done with the food. I went to the bathroom and that was a mess. I could not believe that a human being could do such pig’s work in one small room… that’s it.

I came back to our tent and since Jaque wasn’t happy either, I sad the idea: lets move on…
And we did.  In 1 45 minutes we had all packed and on the road again. We left the camp on US-191 north with 65F as a temperature but as soon as we passed Green River, on I-70, we realized that would be a cold night. Was 41F there. We stopped, got gas and also put some newspaper under our summer gear (yes, we only had short sleeves t-shirts and summer pants and jacket). That was smart, since only got worst. Before Emigrant Pass the temperature was 35F and then drops to 30F with ice/snow on the side of the Highway.

Our plan was to sleep on Richfield, but when we got to Salina, the first town after 110 miles of any, we were too cold to even thinking about going 15 more miles. We enter there and found a very good motorcycle friendly motel, XXXXXX. A very hot shower and warm bed, no noise, clean bathroom… we are in heaven.

Today we rode Arches National Park, US-191 and I-70  in a total of 200 miles. Got temperatures from 90F to 30F and moderate winds at Moab. Thank  wasn’t wind on I-70. We would not survive with our summer gear.
