After doing the immigration boards (very easy. Few questions, passport+green
card and we are in Canada), we keep ridding until Hope, were we had our
brake fast at a nice local café.
The trip now is more colorful. The landscape change to better and the views
are breathtaking. The speed here is about 60MPH (100kph), but the traffic
is light enough to let me pass, so didn't feel like we are slow. The temperatures
were between 65F and 70F, which for us is the ideal temperature for a motorcycle
ride.
We passed by nice little towns like 100 Mile House and 150 Mile House and
other bigger cities like Prince George.
Some views on the Canada Highway 1 are breath taking. Nice tunnels and rivers.
We decide not enter in Price George. There is a railroad museum there, which
we would like to see, but for some reason we just pass by. Next time.
In Burnes Lake we camp at the local KOA campsite. About 4 miles before the
town. Before settle for that we went to town and checked the free City Camp
Site, but were too rough for us. There is no bath and the washrooms were
very far from the tents places. I highly recommend the KOA campsite we stayed.
No mosquitos, quite and very nice people at the management.
We cook our own meal for that night using some "ready-to-eat" packs.
I didn't like it. I once had an Army food, got from a friend, who was much
better then this one. (Hey Ken, were can I get that again?)
At night we got 45F inside the tent, but we didn't feel bad in our goose
feather sleeping bags.
