Today we are going to Homer. Famous for the best Halibut in Alaska. That
was another wonderful ride on Highway 1 towards Anchor Point, the west most
point you can reach in an American highway.
I ordered the cable for Eliane's helmet today. $37 from the Honda dealer
and same $50 shipping. What is that that BMW needs to overcharge so much???
The cable should be in Anchorage by tomorrow. (End up that I got the cable
in Fairbanks, couple days later. Honda dealers are not that reliable...)
Few miles before Homer is Anchor Point. The western most point you can go
by U.S. highways.
Homer Spit is the place to go once in Homer. We had our lunch there, in a
very interesting restaurant by the beach and went to visit some of the stores
with all the touristy little things to buy from Alaska...
Many stores were we could buy more gifts and ship it again.
After that, we rode back to Anchorage in another good ride seeing the Cook
Inlet at our left now.
The Kenay River was with us for many miles down at Kenai Peninsula and there
are many places to stop and take pictures there.
Many animals today, like eagles, mousse and other.
We had to sleep in a hotel that night and were the most expensive one for
the whole trip. Let me tell you that we try not to... $106 at the local Econolodge
was a steal... so to match we decide to eat sushi that nigh. This will explain
the high dollars today
Today we had temperatures range from 55F to 59F.
