Hiking the Narrows at Zion National Park

We arrived at Big Springs at 11:10AM. I figure that from here we still have about 5 hours hiking to Temple of Sinawava.

Today little rocks were entering our shoes and we had to stop time to time to remove it.

Now, right after the Big Springs, you are entering the Zion Narrows. Make sure you won't see any rain coming because it will 2 miles of no protection. You will not be able to find any elevated place here, only 800feet wals on each side. Some people have died here because the quickly food that could happen on a rain.

It will goes like that up to Ordervile.

More tunnels.

There are two park devices to count people on the hiking. The first one is right before the falls and then this one here.

We found 4 little ducks without their mother.

Of course they start following Eliane.

.There are no many picture of how deep the water was on today's hike because I had the camera on the dry bag most of the time.

But we had to swimming at least 3 times today...

Orderville canyon. it was 2:20 PM (4:30 hours today) and now we can see a lot of hikers who are doing the botton-up. It's a day hiking were you have to go north and back before the end of the day. (you cannot camp doing the botton-up).

When you see some hikers caming towards you, with her/his shoes on the hands (to not get wet) you will know that you are only few yards from the end.

At 4:25PM (6 hours today) we got to the shuttle stop at Temple of Sinawana.

Chamberlain Ranch Trailhead (start): 5,835 ft.
Temple of Sinawava: 4,425 ft
1,410 ft. loss

Who is Elton

I was born in Brazil and moved to USA, California in 1996. Took me some time to learn the language and get into this country, but I think now I'm doing quite well. I became an American citizen in late 2007.
